The Royal Canadian Regiment
Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Seeloch is a native of San Fernando, Trinidad. They enlisted in the Canadian Army reserve force in 1992 with the Royal Regiment of Canada and subsequently transferred to the regular army in 1995. They completed infantry training in Meaford, Ontario and was then posted to the 1st Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment (1 RCR), in Petawawa, Ontario.
In 2003, he was posted to 3rd Bn of the RCR, serving in the positions of Platoon Warrant Officer, Battalion Operations Warrant Officer, and Company Quarter Master Sergeant. From 2011 to 2013, CWO Seeloch was posted to the Canadian Special Operation Forces Command, 427th Special Ops Aviation Squadron. In 2018, he returned to 1 RCR as a Company Sergeant Major, then Bn Ops SM, followed by a position at the Canadian Army Headquarters in Ottawa.
Some of CWO Seeloch’s occupational training include US Army Air Assault School, US SOCOM Joint Special Ops University, Special Ops Forces Senior Enlisted Course, Irregular Warfare Course and Urban Operations Instructor. He is a graduate of the US Army Sergeants Major Course.
CWO Seeloch completed six international deployments. In 1998, he deployed on Op Palladium (Former Yugoslavia), on Op Kinetic (Kosovo) in 1999, twice on Op Athena (Afghanistan) in 2003, 2008, and Op Reassurance in 2015. In 2021, he was promoted to his current rank and posted to the Non-commissioned Officer Leadership Center of Excellence, Fort Bliss, Texas as a student and subsequently instructor of the U.S. Army’s Sergeants Major Course. He recently deployed as the Task Force Sergeant Major for Op Unifier (Poland), and in 2025, completed a tour of duty as the Regimental Sergeant Major of 3 RCR at Garrison Petawawa.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development from the US Army Command and General Staff College, as well as a Master of Science degree in Management focused on Organizational Leadership from Excelsior University. In 2023, he was awarded the US Army Meritorious Service Medal and in 2025 named to the Order of Military Merit-Member and appointed Sergeant Major of 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group.
CWO Seeloch is married and has five amazing adult children.
